Description
This is corrosive ammunition. If you fail to take extra steps cleaning your rifle after firing corrosive ammo, then you can expect hygroscopic salts to deposit rust throughout the barrel and action. Windex and Ballistol solution are both popular methods for removing corrosive residue, although hot sudsy water is also effective.
rThis surplus 30-06 hunting ammo from Romania offers an affordable way to demonstrate mankind’s supremacy over bucks, hogs and other medium-sized game. Loaded with 150 grain soft point bullets, it unleashes devastating terminal ballistics in the form of rapid expansion. But even if you’re just whetting your aim on paper targets, you’ll find such cost-effective SP bullets of great service.
rWe have not tested this round’s bullet with a magnet, nor have chronographed it to record its muzzle velocity. We can reasonably assume that its brass case is loaded with a Berdan primer because it is corrosive, thus making it a suboptimal selection for handloading. This ammo comes 20 rounds to a box, 11 boxes to a sealed tin (opener not included).
