Description
This 7.7 Japanese (7.7x58mm Arisaka) round by Precision Cartridge, Inc. is a great way to enjoy your Type 99 rifle come hunting season. Its 180 grain projectile is a common weight for its caliber, and features a boat tail base that measurably increases its ballistic coefficient to deliver a flat trajectory and more energy to strike its target with upon impact. This bullet’s exposed core enables it to deform and widen considerably during penetration, ensuring the wide and traumatic wound channel that a clean, fast kill depends upon. This round’s brass casing is perfect for handloading, a welcome feature for a harder to find caliber, and its Boxer primer is expertly set so that it may provide unfailing ignition.
rPrecision Cartridge, Inc. has been in business since 1986, around the same time that Bill Buckner’s famous flub was blamed for the Sox losing the World Series. Their production facility is supervised by owner Dennis G. Fossey, a master handloader with nearly half a century of experience under his belt. Mr. Fossey doesn’t make flubs.
