Description
The 7.7x58mm Arisaka might have become more popular among American sportsmen if Japan hadn’t been required to dump its surplus into the Pacific Ocean at the conclusion of the Second World War. That means very few companies load it nowadays – but fortunately, Bannerman Cartridge Company is exceptional.
rThis is a proper hunting load that you can also make great use of at the rifle range. Each round is armed with a 150 grain soft point boat tail projectile, which was manufactured for Bannerman in Serbia by Prvi Partizan. The SPBT features an exposed lead core to enable terminal expansion and a tapered base to promote a flatter trajectory that resists wind drift before terminating at the target with relatively greater kinetic energy than a flat base alternative could have managed at long range. Nonmagnetic, too!
rHandloaders rejoice: this ammunition also features Prvi Partizan’s high-quality brass cases, which makes it perfectly reloadable. Oil up your Type 99 rifle or Type 97 heavy tank machine gun – it’s almost 7.7 o’clock!
