Barnes X bullets are jacketless and heat-treated for extra toughness. Providing 100 percent weight retention, Barnes X bullets expand to carve a wide wound channel, peeling back upon target impact to form four separate, scalpel-sharp petals. When viewed head on, these petals form a perfect “X,†giving the Barnes X its name. Another impressive feature is the polymer tip which works to boost ballistic coefficient and improve long-range accuracy.
