Each of these new production Hornady Custom 6.8 SPC cartridges is topped with one of Hornady’s proprietary Super Shock Tip (SST) projectiles. Featuring a high-quality polymer tip and a boat tail design, these 120 grain SST bullets are built for aerodynamics, producing less in-flight drag and ultra-flat trajectories. The result is competition level accuracy, especially at longer distances. Engineered with a one-piece core and tapered jacket, SST bullets also feature Hornady’s unique InterLock Ring. This ring locks the core and jacket together during expansion, retaining important mass and energy for hard-hitting terminal performance and deep penetration.
Perfect for hunting whitetails and similarly sized game, each of these high-quality rounds generates a muzzle velocity of 2460 feet per second and 1612 foot pounds of muzzle energy. This 100 percent non-corrosive ammunition is boxer primed, reloadable, and brass cased. Each package contains 20 rounds.
