rThe soft point doesn’t need a polymer tip or nose cavity to let loose devastating terminal expansion. Its soft lead core is exposed at the tip by its jacket, so it forces the entire bullet to begin flattening down on impact and proceed to tumble around during penetration.
rThis round’s soft point is comprised of a lead core and copper alloy jacket – no ferrous metals that could attract a magnet, just in case you want to practice with it at the range ahead of your hunt. Its 0.389 G1 ballistic coefficient (when fired from a 21.75†barrel) ensures that the soft point retains over 1,000 ft lbs of whitetail killing energy at 400 yards.
