Description
Berger’s Hybrid Hunter is high tech bullet that combines two unique geometries in order to totally optimize its performance. The 135 grain projectile on this 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge begins with a secant ogive profile, a shape that creates very little turbulence in flight and accordingly promotes a flattened trajectory, strengthened resistance to vertical and cross winds, and heartier energy delivery on impact. As the Hybrid Hunter’s profile shifts to a tangent ogive further back, it is insensitive to seating depth and better aligns itself with a bore’s rifling. The “Hunter†in this bullet’s name is not cosmetic – it possess the deep hollow point nose cavity that is requisite for hellacious terminal performance, and is therefore inclined to make short work of any whitetail you’d introduce it to.
rFederal isn’t letting this round’s exceptional bullet serve as its only selling point. They’ve given it one of their characteristically high quality brass casings, and one which is further plated with nickel to improve its lubricity and ability to shrug off corrosion. The cartridge’s specialized propellant performs ideally for its caliber, and its Gold Medal primer and bullet have been installed to the tightest specs that Federal is able to achieve.
