This 50 Action Express cartridge is not included in Magnum Research’s list of recommended ammunition for the .50 cal Desert Eagle – but Underwood did load it with the exact same 300 grain eXtreme Terminal Performance (XTP) that Hornady’s DEP50HP round features. As such this ammo should treat you to seamless performance in your Desert Eagle or any other .50 cal semi-automatic pistol you care to unleash!
rIts XTP bullet suits this cartridge for hunting and self-defense alike. It is an accurate bullet, with the swaged lead core and nearly flawless jacket concentricity required to secure in-flight rotational stability. The XTP’s base is fully jacketed to prevent lead from clogging up a barrel’s gas orifice holes. Its jacket is also tapered and serrated – both reasons why you can expect wide, highly lethal terminal expansion at high and middling impact velocities alike.
rUnderwood’s reduced-flash propellant can be a real blessing if you ever have to fire this ammo in the dark where bright light would instantly blind you. Their nickel-plated brass cases are easier to see in a dark chamber, as well as resistant to tarnishing and feeding jams. It’s the total package!
