rThis 45 Colt +P cartridge has a huge 325 grain bullet, although its turbocharged muzzle velocity still gives it well over 1,000 ft lbs of muzzle energy. The bullet itself is made of hard cast lead, which is far harder than conventional lead and as such should barely deform at all throughout penetration. It will not expand.
rThis bullet’s flat, circular tip punches a clean hole through whatever medium it finds in front of itself, be that bone or dense muscle fibers. Its terminal effect is almost like a solid steel slug’s!
rBuffalo Bore emphasizes that this cartridge is too long for Henry’s lever-action rifles, and too powerful for small frame revolvers. They recommend this ammo for Model 1892 and Model 1894 rifles, as well as Ruger’s large frame revolvers including the Blackhawk and Redhawk.
rBuffalo Bore utilizes premium Boxer primers and clean burning propellant to achieve such high velocities. Their brass cases are brand new and merit reloading once emptied.
