Description
This 45 ACP +P cartridge from Hornady’s Critical Duty line of ammunition features the 220 grain FlexLock projectile. This bullet boasts what Hornady calls “barrier blind performance,†a feat it owes largely to its Flex Tip — that column of polymer precisely fitted within its hollow point enables it to break through a variety of common media without losing any of its ability to expand during penetration. This bullet’s lead core is toughened considerably with the addition of antimony, and is bound tightly to its jacket via an InterLock ring to promote its ability to penetrate targets as well as retain its weight during expansion.
rThis round’s brass casing is plated with reflective nickel, which facilitates a hurried chamber check in a darkened environment. Furthermore, this round’s propellant is formulated to produce only very little flash, which will preserve your eyesight after firing a shot in the dark so that you may fire accurate follow-up shots.
