Description
Don’t hold the 45-70 Government’s name against it. It’s not the cartridge’s fault that it’s named after the Second Amendment’s greatest enemy!
rWant to exercise your 2A rights in the most satisfying way possible – namely by hunting? Then Grizzly Cartridge Company made just what you need in their home state of Oregon!
rThis cartridge is loaded with a lighter projectile. At 300 grains, it’ll rip out of a barrel at a rate of 1,500 feet per second without generating excessive chamber pressure as a result. That’s great if you’re trying to get a flatter trajectory over short-to-mid distance.
rThis round’s bullet is a good old-fashioned jacketed hollow point: lead core, copper-alloy jacket (nonmagnetic), and a nose cavity that spreads out to inflict maximum trauma on medium game. The JHP’s nose profile is flat as a board and A-OK for a lever-action rifle’s magazine.
rGrizzly’s high-performance rifle ammunition isn’t ready for the market until it’s loaded with virgin (reloadable) brass cases and snappy (noncorrosive) Boxer primers, and inspected inside and out to ensure reliable operation out in the field.
