Magtech’s .44 Magnum solid-copper hollow-point (SCHP) rounds are a unique option for unobstructed hunting with appropriately chambered lever-guns and revolvers. These cartridges utilize conventional components including clean burning propellant, non-corrosive primers, and reloadable brass casings. Each round is topped off with a lead-free, SCHP projectile which is designed for rapid expansion at short ranges which will drop a deer with clean efficiency. The bullet’s wide mouth cavity prevents primer contact for safe use within a tube magazine.

The all-copper projectile weighs in at 200 grains but is loaded to fly at speeds more consistent with heavier bullets; this translates to a very capable round with manageable recoil which is especially desirable in the handgun hunting community. A lead-free bullet is also advantageous because it leaves behind zero heavy metal residue in firearms and edible meat.
