rThis American-made 308 round’s 150 grain bullet is made of solid copper. A copper bullet eliminates lead fouling of the bore and exhibits awesome in-flight gyroscopic stability. The Copper Extreme Impact’s giant polymer tip, smooth profile and boat tail all help it to generate exceedingly little drag while it speeds downrange. The bullet’s G1 0.393 (G7 0.198) ballistic coefficient means that it clings to an unusually flat trajectory and conserves lots of deadly energy downrange!
rThe Copper Extreme Point hasn’t got a jacket that could detach from its core. Copper is also tough as all get out, which is why the bullet retains pretty much all of its weight as it penetrates its target. That ensures it retains the momentum it needs to tunnel all the way to the trophy’s inner sanctum. The bullet’s giant polymer tip quite naturally has a giant base as well. It pries the underlying nose cavity open faster than usual, which helps to overwhelm the quarry with crippling energy transfer accompanied by a gaping wound cavity.
