This 308 Win cartridge from Hornady’s Match line of ammunition offers unparalleled accuracy for its caliber courtesy of its 168 grain ELD Match projectile. The bullet’s lead core is swaged to give it extraordinary balance and uniformity, and its AMP jacket is virtually perfectly concentric, both features that optimize rotational stability in flight. This bullet’s secant ogive profile produces very little drag and raises its ballistic coefficient, as does its boat tail design’s tapered base which does much to flatten its trajectory. An ELD Match is fitted with a Heat Shield tip, which won’t allow the bullet’s sharp and aerodynamic meplat to be deformed in response to aerodynamic heating.
