Although Sierra MatchKing boat tail hollow points are relatively soft compared to standard hunting bullets, Buffalo Bore notes that these competition projectiles expand nicely in deer-size animals from 100 to 500 yards.
Each new production .308 Winchester (7.62×51) cartridge is loaded with a 175 grain Sierra MatchKing BTHP projectile. Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 2800 feet per second, each round generates 2832 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Velocities produced by this ammo are lower than maximum SAMI specifications.
This ammunition is 100 percent non-corrosive, boxer primed, and features high-quality reloadable brass cases. Each packaged contains 20 rounds.
