rThis round’s 180 grain bullet is a tried-and-proven soft point. Its silvery plating conceals a conventional copper-alloy jacket, which stops just shy of the tip to reveal the solid lead core. The rim of the jacket sports a series of notches, which strategically weaken it to promote wider-diameter expansion following impact. The shiny plating certainly looks nice, but doesn’t do much aside from justifying the Silver Series brand name.
rThis round will let any marksman put their skills on full display. Its carefully standardized primer and propellant charge unite to achieve a muzzle velocity of 2,960 fps. At that rate the streamlined bullet exhibits a G1 BC of 0.438, so its trajectory to 300 yards ought to top out at 5.65†above the muzzle line.
