rThis round is decked out with a 125 grain open tip bullet. Despite appearances, the open tip is not a hollow point and will not enlarge as it penetrates soft tissue. Its terminal performance is basically the same as an FMJ! What the open tip is designed for is superior accuracy, which it delivers thanks to its form-fitted lead core, sleek overall profile, concentric jacket and fully enclosed flat base.
rWinchester’s 300 Blackout ammo is exclusively nonmagnetic and non-corrosive, and its Boxer-primed brass suits it well for handloading. These rounds’ cases were not polished after being heat-treated at the factory – any discoloration you see is solely cosmetic.
