Save the whales. Save the ozone layer. Save for retirement. You’re told to save stuff all the time, but we reckon there’s only one important thing you should really worry about saving: time, which you could use to hunt with your 30-40 Krag rifle.
rWe’re sure there’s a huge overlap between 30-40 Krag enthusiasts and handloaders. It’s not as though 30-40 Krag ammo grows on trees, after all. That’s what makes Hornady Custom so great. It gives you the handloader quality you want right out of the box.
rThis round’s bullet is an InterLock soft point. Its copper-alloy jacket is physically attached to its lead core, which promotes deeper penetration following close- and long-range impact alike. That plus terminal expansion kills the quarry like clockwork. The InterLock can’t go toe-to-toe with a polymer tipped bullet in terms of ballistic performance, although a G1 BC of 0.425 is still plenty respectable for a 19th century .30 caliber cartridge.
rIt’d be a crime to let these rounds’ primo brass cases only make a single visit to the chamber. Save them, even if you don’t handload!
