rThe SST is a highly accurate bullet thanks not only to its ballistically efficient secant ogive profile, but also its boat tail base and tapered point. Upon impact the SST’s polymer tip drives inward to initiate rapid expansion, made particularly potent because it is perched upon the jacket’s rim and extends downward into a cavity within the core. The SST is able to retain the weight needed to penetrate deeply within game thanks to the InterLock ring which binds its core and jacket together, and its mid-body cannelure helps to that end a great deal as well.
