Description
Hornady’s Frontier line of ammunition features a match grade 68 grain boat tail hollow point bullet and is a great choice for high accuracy shooting at a good price point within Hornady’s lineup.
r
rThis 223 Rem round’s 68 grain bullet is a little heavier than the standard M193 load’s 55 grains. That gives it greater momentum down range, and less susceptibility to wind deflection that can loosen up groupings. Select a barrel with a 1:8 twist for the best results with a 68 grain bullet, but don’t sweat it too much if you’re a little off that mark.
r
rThe BTHP Match packs a lot of precision enhancing features into so small a package. The Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket, when paired with form-fitted solid lead core, exhibits great in-flight rotational stability. The BTHP Match also has a tapered base and ballistically efficient secant ogive profile to keep downrange velocities higher.
r
rFrontier ammo has rugged brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and military-grade propellant. It’s totally reloadable and non-magnetic to boot! This ammo isn’t marketed for self-defense and doesn’t expand inside soft tissue, but would still leave one heck of a mark during a tactical situation.
