Description
This 223 Remington ammunition is a bit like a lullaby for varmints and predators. It puts them to sleep – it just goes about it much more quickly, noisily and permanently.
rThis cartridge is loaded with a 55 grain projectile, with a 3,230 fps muzzle velocity that makes its in-flight performance virtually identical to that of a standard M193 spec target load. But instead of an FMJ, the cartridge is armed with a pointed soft point. Its ballistically efficient frontal profile enables the bullet to display a flat trajectory: 2.22†elevation above the bore line en route to a 200-yard target, which it would strike with approximately 725 ft lbs of kinetic energy.
rThe PSP projectile won’t merely find its target. It will also subdue it with rapid and thoroughly lethal terminal expansion, as well as penetrate it deeply thanks to its rigid copper jacket. Fiocchi’s bullet jackets do not contain steel, and are accordingly acceptable for target practice at ranges which prohibit magnetic ammo. This round’s bullet has got a lead core, however, which makes it unfit for hunting in certain jurisdictions.
rFiocchi’s centerfire rifle ammunition is brass-cased, Boxer-primed, noncorrosive and reloadable. Always an excellent pick if you insist on handloading every cartridge you lay your hands on!
