Description
This 17 Rem cartridge by Nosler is from the Oregonian company’s Varmageddon line of ammunition. (Varmagötterdämmerung would have worked for a name, too — same meaning, but maybe a little less catchy, and umlauts are hard to pronounce.) True to its name, this round is absolutely devastating to varmints thanks to its unique 20 grain polymer tipped flat base projectile. This bullet’s metallic black polymer tip sits perched on its jacket’s thin mouth. On impact it forces itself downward, whereupon the jacket and core all but literally explode. This bullet’s jacket thickens in at its middle to keep it from breaking or deforming at such high velocities until impact, and its flat base delivers bench rest accuracy.
rThis round is intended for varmint hunters of all levels of skill, and high volume shooters who demand unerring precision are certain to value it greatly. Varmints do not care for this round remotely, however, and would rather you not purchase it.
