Description
Prvi Partizan was founded in 1928 in Užice, Serbia. (We have no idea how you’re meant to pronounce the letter “ž.†We’re fortunate that English was blessed without diacritical marks.) They’re known for making a great range of harder-to-find cartridges, which they craft as attentively as though they were working in 9mm or 223 Rem. That makes Prvi Partizan the one to turn to when you’re after great 8mm Mauser range ammo, like these rounds!
rThis round features its caliber’s classic weight 198 grain projectile. It’s not for hunting, but rather perfecting your hunting skills, courtesy of its full metal jacket and boat tail profile. The former enables sound feeding in your bolt action as well as the preservation of its bore against lead fouling, while the latter reduces in-flight turbulence for a flatter trajectory.
rThis round also offers a reloadable brass shell casing and clean burning propellant. While Serbia is in the neck of the woods that’s known for Berdan primers, this round’s Boxer primer suits it perfectly for handloaders who don’t deal with anvils that are integral to casings.
