Description
This 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridge by Hornady features its Nebraskan manufacturer’s 95 grain V-MAX projectile, a bullet designed in every way for one singular purpose: creating a varmint-sized vacancy wherever a varmint once formerly stood. The V-MAX owes its stellar terminal performance to its swaged lead core, inside of which is a precisely formed hollow cavity. The bullet’s polymer tip is perched just above, and even at lower velocities it drives suddenly downward to initiate violent fragmentation upon impact. The V-MAX is inherently accurate as well thanks to the symmetry of its sharp meplat, match grade and highly concentric AMP jacket, and streamlined profile which optimizes its in-flight stability.
rVarmint Express ammo’s components each serve the specialized bullet in their own way. This round’s casing is made of brass and is extremely uniform to support smooth cycling; its propellant delivers a whopping 3,300 fps muzzle velocity so that the V-MAX can remain effective far downrange; and its primer is sensitive and non-corrosive to boot.
