The bullet’s soft lead core is exposed at its tip, providing an aerodynamic meplat while at the same time enabling the bullet to expand very rapidly after the moment of impact. The Power Point’s concentric copper jacket guards it against deformation, prevents barrel leading, promotes certain penetration, and controls the rate at which its exposed core causes it to expand.
