This 300 AAC Blackout cartridge from Hornady’s Custom line of ammunition features the Nebraskan manufacturer’s very own 110 grain GMX projectile. The GMX is made exclusively from a copper alloy, so it will greatly reduce the amount of fouling your rifle’s bore must endure. It’s also completely legal to hunt with in areas that have banned toxic ammunition, including California. As the result of its monolithic construction the GMX has no jacket and core which could separate from one another, and thus retains up to 95 percent of its weight during penetration.

rThe GMX features a polymer tip which serves to streamline its already sleek body. It further includes a cannelure and pressure relieving grooves which work in conjunction to reduce both its bearing surface and the drag it incurs in flight. The GMX will begin to expand rapidly within a soft target as soon as its polymer tip gets driven deep inside the cavity extending down the center of its body on impact, making this round an excellent choice for hunting varmints and medium-sized game.
