rThis cartridge features Barnes’ own Match Burner: an open tip match boat tail projectile that is solely designed to exhibit a flat and predictable accuracy. The Match Burner will not expand immediately after striking a threat or quarry, and accordingly is not considered optimal for home defense or hunting applications. But once the balanced, streamlined and low-drag OTM BT hits its muzzle velocity of 2,215 fps, its flat trajectory will reach 300 yards in under half a second – and only rise by 11.5†on the way there.
rBarnes has a great reputation for loading solid copper bullets, although the Match Burner does contain a traditional lead core.
