Description
Ammo Inc. might have misspelled the word “stealth,†but that doesn’t make their stelTH line of 300 AAC Blackout ammunition any less stealthy. This is a cartridge with a very heavy bullet at 220 grains. As such it cannot reach supersonic muzzle velocity, so it can’t produce a jolting cracking noise when fired. You don’t need a suppressor to fire this ammo, but its report is impressively subtle if you have got one.
rstelTH ammo also performs very cleanly. This round’s bullet is a total metal jacket. In contrast to the more common FMJ, the TMJ’s jacket fully encloses the bullet’s base. (Ammo Inc. calls their TMJ a “TMC,†but they are the same thing.) Propellant gasses won’t vaporize the lead in the bullet’s core, thus preventing the accumulation of lead residue inside of a rifle’s barrel. This ammo will also leave a suppressor’s baffles a whole lot cleaner, which is great because cleaning them can be time-consuming. This ammo’s performance is even cleaner courtesy of its manufacturer’s Hyperclean Technology, which mitigates residue buildup.
rAmmo Inc. is a newer American manufacturer. Their bullets, new brass cases, non-corrosive primers and clean-burning propellants are all made in Payson, AZ and Manitowoc, WI.
