Description
Do you want a convenient little stash of M855 ammunition? Then you might be interested to know that SS109 ammo is essentially the same exact thing!
rThis American-made 223 Rem cartridge sports a FMJ bullet. Its core is not made of solid lead, however. Just beneath this bullet’s jacketed nose sits a seven-grain steel tip, which makes the FMJ hard enough to pierce sheet steel, light body armor, vehicle doors, and a variety of other common barriers. The bullet is magnetic, and it’s probably going to damage any steel target it hits, but if that’s cool with you then you and your AR-15 are going to love this 223 ammo!
rThis round’s 62 grain bullet is a little heavier than the usual 55 grains. As the result it should achieve a slightly slower muzzle velocity, but also retain more momentum to promote greater accuracy at long range.
rAmmo Inc. may have given this ammo a European designation, but they’re still an all-American manufacturer. These cartridges’ penetrator bullets, factory fresh brass cases, non-corrosive primers and low-fouling propellant were all made and assembled in the USA!
