The 7.62x54r is one of the oldest rifle cartridges still in use today! If you’re smart then you’ve already a Mosin–Nagant oiled up and ready to go. You just need a little ammo to go alongside it.
rThis cartridge was manufactured by Prvi Partizan, a Serbian manufacturer that has been in operation since 1928. Prvi Partizan may load cartridges of Russian origin, but they do not load them with bimetal-jacketed projectiles. As such this round’s 182 grain FMJ contains no steel or other ferrous metals that would have attracted a magnet.
rPrvi Partizan also loads brand new brass cases, so you can count on this ammo to keep your rifle’s action cleaner while you’re hammering targets at the range. Prvi Partizan’s military-grade cases are annealed for added durability, but they are not polished afterward for enhanced cosmetics.
rThis ammo’s primers are 100 percent non-corrosive and will not rust out your rifle. But make sure you’re aware that they are Berdan primers! That will not impact performance in any perceptible way – you just can’t reload this ammo’s cases (unless you somehow have access to component Berdan primers).
