The 224 Valkyrie is gaining traction — more and more shooters are embracing the recently introduced caliber, which we’re always happy to see. If you’re one of the satisfied early adopters of Federal’s accurate caliber, then you’ll love this Black Pack by the Minnesotan powerhouse itself!
rThis round sports a 75 grain bullet, one of the original bullet weights that Federal offered the caliber with. It’s a TMJ, with a jacket that encloses everything including the base of the bullet. That’s a nice touch, because the lead in the core won’t evaporate during ignition. (We’re not doctors, but we generally understand lead to be something which you’d do better not to breathe in very much.)
rAlthough affordable, the contents of a Black Pack are still Federal’s doing and therefore exceptionally well made. This round’s brass casing is tailored to exact tolerances, and won’t crack until you can pass it across your reloading bench a few times. A surefire Boxer primer and clean burning and consistent charge of propellant bring the whole thing together very nicely!
