Description
You only need one reason to own an entire case of 5.56×45 ammunition: You own a 5.56×45 rifle. PMC scratches any AR fan’s biggest itch with their X-TAC series 5.56 ammo, which very closely mimics the recoil, trajectory and point of aim of the 5.56 handed out by the U.S. Army.
rThis cartridge’s 55 grain projectile is a full metal jacket boat tail. Without a soft point or polymer tip, the FMJBT just can’t provide the terminal expansion that more efficiently neutralizes a threat and reduces the chance of over-penetration. That’s to say you could pick much better 5.56 (or 223) ammo for home defense. But since the FMJBT is nonmagnetic, economical, and has a boat tail to promote greater accuracy over longer distances, it’s always a great selection for range training.
rPMC makes their ammunition in South Korea. They’re the outfit in charge of supplying ammo to South Korea’s military, and they take their important job seriously by creating high-quality reloadable brass cases, uniform propellant charges and non-corrosive Boxer primers.
