If you pull the TMJ out of the case, you will be able to see its key feature: its base, which is fully shielded by its copper jacket. The TMJ’s plating keeps its lead core inaccessible to hot propellant gasses. As a result, the lead won’t gasify, foul the barrel, and pollute the shooter’s breathing space.
