rThis set of earmuffs runs on two AAA batteries (included) – but it will provide the same NRR 22 hearing protection regardless of whether it is turned on or not. The batteries power the earmuffs’ microphone and speakers. When it is quiet, the mic will pick up ambient noises and the speakers will amplify them up to 4X (a volume control knob lets you decide). But when your surroundings become louder than 82 decibels, the mic automatically turns off to spare your sensitive ears from damage. Very clever!
rYou’ll be content to wear these earmuffs all day long. Patented Air Flow Control technology makes the ear cups impressively low-profile, so they won’t interfere with the butt of your rifle or shotgun, and the earmuffs’ adjustable headband comfortably accommodates nearly all noggins. These earmuffs will automatically power down after four hours to conserve battery life, and their included 3.5mm connection cord makes them compatible with MP3 players and other devices.
