Brownells Shotgun Sight Kit “B” is the most importantimprovement in the replacement shotgun sight field since theintroduc-tion of the original Brownells Shotgun Sight Kit nearly 20years ago. The new Kit is truly the natural and logical companionto the original Kit “A” – giving you, the gunsmithing or sports shop,all the sights that Kit “A” doesn’t contain, but that you need tohave a really versatile and complete replacement shotgun sightinventory in just 2 small boxes. Plus, in Kit “B”, we took thepractical step of making the White beads out of stainless steel.Stainless is stronger, won’t crush or distort when the beads areinstalled, does not have to be removed when the gun goes intothe hot bluing solution (and won’t dissolve and ruin your bluingbath once it’s in there)!! Plus, the stainless won’t break off at thetop of the shank, stays shiny forever, stands up to tougher use inthe field, and generally is one whale of a lot bettersight.But, the real advantage of Kit “B” is that by combining it with Kit“A”, you can now have a selection of shank sizes unequaledamong shotgun sights. So, if you get a gun in your shop with abadly misshapen, worn or stripped-out sight hole, you will have abead of exactly the same size, but with a shank one size larger.Replacement is then just a simple matter of drilling out the hole tothe next size larger, tapping, and inserting the newbead.The most important thing is that the Kit saves you time, givingfaster work turnaround in the shop, which makes you moremoney. It also eliminates “patching-up” the original hole (whichoften then requires repairing the blue, too) and redrilling andtapping for the original size shank.
