rThis cartridge features a 150 grain soft point boat tail bullet. The SPBT’s steel-free copper-alloy jacket covers its entire frontal surface area with the exception of its tip. Once collision mashes the lead core down, the entire bullet flattens out to inflict a broad, death-dealing wound cavity. The SPBT’s boat tail merely serves to conserve the bullet’s momentum. In addition to helping it hit harder, the boat tail elevates the SPBT’s G7 BC to 0.192 (so long as the bullet has exited the 28.5†barrel it needs in order to reach its advertised muzzle velocity). If your rifle has 1.5†high sights, then this round’s bullet should reach 200 yards without having to rise higher than about 1.9â€.
