rThe tack driving ELD-X features a low drag secant ogive profile, ballistically efficient boat tail, and AMP jacket with virtually zero deviation in concentricity. It further showcases the Heat Shield tip, which is made of polymer that is immune to becoming deformed in response to aerodynamic heating.
rWhen the ELD-X slams into its target at lower velocities, its Heat Shield tip reliably jams into its core to commence wide, catastrophic expansion. The ELD-X has got an InterLock ring that mechanically binds its core and jacket together, so when you take your game at closer distances it’s still able to retain as little as 50 percent of its weight during penetration.
rHornady wouldn’t accompany their state of the art ELD-X with substandard components. These rounds’ new brass casings have incredibly uniform internal capacities, and accordingly hold interchangeable propellant charges for consistent results with every trigger pull.
