Description
Browning, a longstanding name in the American shooting tradition, has licensed this new line of ammunition for carry and defense applications. These loads utilize the distinctive Browning X-Point (BXP) projectile which works similarly to jacketed hollow-point (JHP) design but with a forged lead cross seated in the hollow cavity; this structure is designed to shred intermediate clothing right before impacting a threat without impeding wide, damaging expansion.
rIn addition to its cross, the X-Point JHP has large mouth immediately bordered by jacket serrations which promote reliable expansion even at lower velocities. These rounds are also assembled using clean igniting Boxer primers fitted into reloadable brass casings which are nickel-plated for corrosion resistance and reliable cycling. Browning licensed ammunition is made in the U.S. by the Olin-Winchester group.
