rThis round is loaded to a smoking muzzle velocity of 1,475 fps, which is enough to plow over 1,000 ft lbs of energy into a quarry at close range. The bullet has a flat nose profile for compatibility with lever-action firearms, although its concentric jacket and uniformly distributed lead core both lend themselves to greater accuracy over longer distances.
rThe bullet itself is a jacketed hollow point, the same type most often used for self-defense.
