Each of these Federal Fusion .300 Win Short Mag cartridges features a 180 grain Fusion soft point. These proprietary projectiles are engineered with an extreme pressure-formed lead core surrounded by a pure copper jacket. These two elements are electrochemically “fused†to reduce the risk of core/jacket separation. The result of this Fusion design is improved weight retention, deep penetration, and a bullet that delivers a radiating shock wave upon target impact. Fusion projectiles also feature a unique skiving design which initiates massive expansion and carve a devastating wound in soft tissue.
