Fiocchi is an old school ammo producer with decades of experience to work on. Still, they give credit where is credit is due, which is why they tagged the American legend Hornady to make this 9mm self-defense round’s projectile: a 124 grain XTP.
rThe XTP is one of the last things you’d want to have coming at you at over 1,000 feet per second. The expansion provided by its hollow point nose cavity is closely controlled by both the serrations that split it into symmetrical sections as well as the varying thicknesses engineered into its drawn gilding metal jacket. The XTP’s core is swaged to give the bullet exceptional rotational stability, and its tip is guarded by its jacket to both facilitate feeding in a semi-automatic weapon as well as ensure that proper expansion will ensue after impact.
rFiocchi complemented Hornady’s work with a nickel plated brass casing.
